Abstract

Objective: In this study, it was aimed to determine the frequency of anti-HCV positivity in whom applied to policlinics of internal medicine at Hospital of Harran University. Methods: Blood samples were taken from patients who were not in any risk group and had no history of jaundice. 947 samples were investigated for anti-HCV antibodies. Results: In 1.9% of 947 persons, anti-HCV antibodies were detected. Conclusion: Hepatitis C infection was more common than in European countries and other regions of Turkey. There was a significant increase in anti-HCV positivity with aging.

Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışmada Harran Üniversitesi Hastanesi dahiliye polikliniğine başvuranlarda anti-HCV pozitiflik sıklığının belirlenmesi amaçlandı. Yöntem; Bilinen herhangi bir risk grubuna girmeyen iktersiz hastaların serumları anti-HCV antikorları yönünden incelendi. Bulgular: Tetkik edilen 947 serumun 18'inde (% 1.9) anti-HCV antikoru bulundu. Sonuç: Bulunan anti-HCV pozitiflik sıklığı, Avrupa ülkelerinde ve Türkiye'nin diğer yerlerinde bulunan oranlardan fazladır ve yaşla artış göstermektedir.
