Abstract

Childhood cataract surgery and optical rehabilitation are the most controversial issues in pediatric ophthalmology. Optical correction methods involve spectacles, contact lenses, and intraocular lens implantation and each method has advantages and disadvantages. In this review, we evaluated appropriate postoperative correction methods in pediatric cataracts and the difficulties encountered pre- and postoperatively, in particular inpatients undergoing intraocular lens implantation.
