Abstract

Sjögren Syndrome (SS) is a chronic inflammatory disease that affects 2-3% of the adult population. Central nervous system involvement in this disease is rare and may show clinical and radiological findings similar to multiple sclerosis (MS). Here, a 32-year-old female patient who was referred with the complaint of headache with vasculitis-like lesions in brain imaging studies had the diagnosis of Sjogren's syndrome. CNS involvement in SS must be diagnosed and treated in the early stage that is very important for the prognosis of the disease. Sjögren syndrome should be in the differential diagnosis of vasculitis of the CNS which can be presented with simple headache. This is very important for early diagnosis and treatment that prevents complications of the disease

Özet

Sjögren Sendromu (SS), erişkin nüfusun %2-3'ünü etkileyen kronik inflamatuvar bir hastalıktır. Burada baş ağrısı yakınmasıyla başvuran, beyin görüntülemesinde vaskulit benzeri lezyonları olan ve Sjögren Sendromu tanısı alan 32 yaşında bir kadın hasta tartışılmıştır. Sjögren Sendromunda santral sinir sistemi (SSS) vaskuliti az görülen bir tutulumdur ve klinik olarak multipl sklerozu (MS) taklit ederek benzer radyolojik bulgular gösterebilir. Hastalara erken dönemde tanı konularak tedavinin başlatılması, hastalığın prognozu açısından büyük önem taşımaktadır. Basit bir baş ağrısı yakınması ile prezente olabilen SSS vaskuliti olgularında sjögren sendromunun ayırıcı tanıda akılda tutulması erken teşhis ve tedavi, komlikasyonların önlenmesi açısından önemlidir
