Özet
Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türk telekomünikasyon sektöründe, bu sektörün serbestleştirilmesine yönelik olarak yapılan faaliyetler ile sektörde gelinen son durumun incelenmesidir. Bu çalışmada, özellikle Türk telekomünikasyon sektörünün ilk hali olan PTT teşkilatı sektördeki ilk çıkış noktası alınarak günümüzde oluşan yapıya kadar tarihsel süreç içerisindeki değişim bütün ayrıntılarıyla irdeleme esas alınmıştır. Bu doğrultuda Türk telekomünikasyon sektörü mercek altına alınmış, özellikle özelleştirme ve serbestleştirme hususlarında çeşitli kıyaslamalar yapılarak sektörün hangi duruma ve düzeye geldiği sonucuna ulaşılmaya çalışılmıştır. Sonuç olarak, ortaya çıkan sonuçlar Türk telekomünikasyon sektöründeki serbestleştirme girişimlerinin diğer gelişmiş ülkelere kıyasla süreç olarak biraz geç kalındığını ve de diğer açılardan da sektörün hala serbestleştirilmesi yolunda çalışmaların yapıldığını göstermektedir
