Abstract

Purpose:The study was carried out descriptively in order to determine the attitudes of the nurses to the safe use of medical instruments. Patients and Methods:: In the collection of data, the student information form which contains the introductory features of the students consisting of eight questions was used, and the attitude scale for the safe use of medical tools by the health workers was used. In the evaluation of the data obtained from the study, number, percentage distribution, means, Independent-sample t-test, One-way ANOVA test were used Results:The scores of the affective subscale scores of the students aged 21 and over, the behavioral subscale scores of the females, the cognitive subscale scores of the 4th grade students, the total scale scores of the students receiving education and the behavioral subscale scores were found to be significantly higher (p <0.05). Conclusion:It was determined that the students whose age and clinical experience increased and received education increased their attitudes towards safe use of medical instruments. It is advisable to provide training to the students before starting clinical practice, and to develop and disseminate institutional policies to prevent the use of hospital authorities for stab wounds.

Özet

Amaç:Araştırmamız, öğrenci hemşirelerin kesici-delici tıbbi aletleri güvenli kullanımına yönelik tutumlarının belirlenmesi amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapıldı. Hastalar ve Yöntem:Verilerin toplanmasında, sekiz sorudan oluşan öğrencilere ait tanıtıcı özellikler içeren öğrenci bilgi formu, sağlık çalışanlarının kesici-delici tıbbi aletleri güvenli kullanımına yönelik tutum ölçeği kullanıldı. Araştırmada elde edilen verilerin değerlendirilmesinde, sayı, yüzdelik dağılım, ortalamalar, bağımsız örneklerde t testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi kullanıldı. Bulgular:Öğrencilerin ölçekten aldıkları puanların bağımsız değişkenler ile karşılaştırılmasına ilişkin bulguların incelenmesinde; 21 yaş ve üzeri öğrencilerde duyuşsal, kadınlarda davranışsal, 4. sınıf öğrencilerde bilişsel, eğitim alanlarda ise davranışsal alt ölçek puanı ve toplam ölçek puan ortalamalarının anlamlı derecede yüksek olduğu saptandı (p<0.05). Sonuç:Yaşı ve klinik deneyimi artan, eğitim alan öğrencilerin kesici-delici tıbbi aletleri güvenli kullanımına yönelik tutumlarının da arttığı belirlendi. Klinik uygulamaya başlamadan önce öğrencilere eğitim verilmesi, hastane yönetimlerinin kesici delici alet yaralanmalarını önlemeye yönelik kurum politikaları geliştirmesi ve yaygınlaştırması önerilebilir.
