In this study, the correspondence between France's ambassadors of Turkey and the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs was reviewed. Archival documents from the “La Courneuve Diplomatic Archives Center” of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Paris, dating from 1962 to 1972 (including correspondence, letters, reports, telegrams, etc.), were examined. French documents from the 6 th and 7 th French-Turkish Culture and Joint Commission meetings were evaluated from the reviewed and translated documents. The research focused on the documents from two files containing French correspondence from the two commission meeting sessions held between 1962-1968 and 1969-1972, as stipulated by the Cultural Agreement signed in 1952. No other joint commission meeting reports were found in the archives. The review revealed information on France's role in Turkey, the place of the French language in the Turkish education system and public institutions, translation activities between the two languages, and the state of language, literature, education, culture, art, science, and technology between the two countries. It also covered agreements, cooperation, plans, projects, and future plans. Bu çalışmada, Fransa’nın Türkiye büyükelçilerinin Fransız Dışişleri Bakanlığı ile yaptıkları yazışmalar taranarak Paris’te Fransa Dışişleri Bakanlığı’nın “La Courneuve Diplomatik Arşiv Merkezinin” 1962-1972 tarih aralığına ait arşiv belgeleri (yazışma, mektup, rapor, telgraf vb.) incelenmiştir. İncelenen ve çevirisi yapılan belgelerden 6 th ve 7 th Fransız-Türk Kültür ve Karma Komisyon toplantılarına ait Fransızca belgeler değerlendirilerek araştırma, 1952’de imzalanan Kültür Anlaşması gereğince, 1962-1968 ve 1969-1972 yılları arasında yapılan iki komisyon toplantı oturumlarının Fransızca yazışmalarının bulunduğu iki dosyadaki, sadece iki toplantı gündeminde yer alan konulara ait belgelerle sınırlandırılmıştır. Zira arşivde başka karma komisyon toplantı raporları bulunmamaktadır. Tarama sonucunda, belgelerde Fransa’nın Türkiye’deki yeri ve Türk eğitim sisteminde ve kamu kurumlarında Fransızcanın yeri, iki dil çifti arasındaki çeviri faaliyetleri, iki ülke arasında dil, edebiyat, eğitim, kültür, sanat, bilim ve teknoloji alanlarındaki durum, yapılan anlaşma, işbirliği, plan ve projeler ile geleceğe yönelik planları hakkında bilgilere ulaşılmıştır. Kısaca, Fransızca resmi belgelere dayanarak belli bir dönemin gündemindeki dil, edebiyat, çeviri, kültür, bilim, teknik konularına açıklık getiren somut veriler elde edilmiştir.
