Abstract

This study is mainly aimed to shed light on studies on the evaluation of textile wastes. A large amount of solid waste is generated during the garment production processes in the textile industry. Recycling and evaluating these waste materials provides ecological and economic benefits in terms of the use of wastes and renewable natural resources. Uşak is important in the textile sector and recycling sector in Turkey. Textile wastes in the textile industry of Uşak province, which are generated in very large amounts during production and are in the form of dust that cannot be recycled and in the form of fibers that are not suitable for spinning yarn, create a big problem. Evaluating these wastes in various areas will contribute economically and environmentally. This study focuses on the evaluation of textile wastes generated during the production phase in the textile industry by methods such as bacterial cellulose production, cellulose acetate production, and pyrolysis. This article reviews other research in this field that has a positive impact on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.
