Abstract

During the Covid-19 pandemic, there has been an increase in the use of technology by elderly individuals all over the world, as in all other individuals. Both education and therapy sessions were tried to be conducted remotely in this period of time. In the content of this research, it has been examined whether individuals over the age of 60 can apply an asynchronous distance intermodel art therapy workshop. Within the scope of the research, intermodel art therapy instructions were sent to 6 participants aged between 64 and 78 for 4 sessions. Since it was difficult to bring all of this age group together on the same day and time, instructions were given by sending a voice recording on their smartphones. The findings of the study were obtained in line with the answers given to the questions posed to the individuals participating in the artistic practices at the end of the research. All of the participants said that they felt that they had time for themselves thanks to intermodel art therapy and that they had more positive emotions than before the study.
