Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine academic research conducted in the field of mental health in the post-pandemic period using a thematic review method, to identify risk groups, to determine the prevalence of mental health problems and associated risk factors, and to develop recommendations for preventive and protective interventions. Studies published between 2022 and 2024 in the Google Scholar, DergiPark, and PubMed databases were reviewed, and research that included empirical data, clearly described methodologies, and focused primarily on mental health was included. Based on the specified criteria, 88 out of 1,890 articles were selected for analysis. The findings indicate that anxiety and depression are the most prevalent mental health problems in the post-pandemic period. Children and adolescents, female university students, women in general, and healthcare workers are identified as the most vulnerable groups. Perceived social support, financial adequacy, regular physical activity, healthy eating habits, effective coping skills, and psychological resilience were found to be negatively associated with mental health problems. The results emphasize the need for risk group–specific, multidimensional preventive interventions supported by social policies. In this context, the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and sustainable programs is highlighted.

Belirlenen kriterler doğrultusunda 1890 makaleden 88’i analize alınmıştır.
