Fusion and gemination are developmental anomalies of teeth which are often clinically mixed. The etiology of these anomalies, that may occur during periods of development of teeth, is dedicated to enviromental factors. Cases may be unilateral or bilateral and can be seen frequently in deciduous dentition. Fusion and gemination cause esthetic disturbance, periodontal problems and predisposition to caries. Fusion usually causes hypodontia in dental arches because it is joining of two buds. The purpose of this article is to evaluate clinical properties of a rare fusion case that is seen with a supernumerary tooth in the permanent dentition.

Füzyon ve geminasyon klinikte sıklıkla karıştırılan gelişimsel diş anomalileridir. Dişlerin gelişim dönemleri esnasında oluşabilecek bu anomalilerin etyolojisi çevresel faktörlere ve yerel zararlı etkenlere bağlanmaktadır. Tek veya çift taraflı olarak görülen olgularla, daha çok süt dentisyonunda karşılaşılmaktadır. Füzyon ve geminasyon, dişlerde estetik ve periodontal sorunlara sebep olmakta ve çürüğe yatkınlık oluşturmaktadır.
