Abstract
The concepts of color, texture and form, which contribute to the formation of space, cannot exist alone in a space; they gain meaning together within spatial integrity. Just as every surface has color, it also has texture. For this reason, examining the perceptual differences created by these sensory stimuli that affect visual comfort individually is insufficient. In studies that relate forms and colors to each other, it is seen that sharp shapes are symbolized with warm colors that have a dynamic effect, while round shapes are symbolized with cold colors that have a static effect. This relationship between form and color has different effects both when they come together with their own diversity within the space and when they are integrated within the space. In addition, it shows that individuals also establish a psychological relationship between form and color. For this very reason, the aim of this study is to investigate the effects of colors and textures on individuals through the semantic difference scale method over adjective pairs and to reveal which colors individuals describe with which forms and what perceptual changes they cause when they interact with each other. As a result of the survey conducted with 100 participants after experiencing spaces with circular and triangular surfaces, it was seen that the color yellow was mostly evaluated as warm, enthusiastic and positive; the color purple as cold, melancholic and mysterious; the circular cabin as spacious, calming and static; and the triangular cabin as rigid, confined, and strong.
