Abstract

In today's world, aviation is a sector characterized by high-cost products and equally fierce competition. Aviation, a sector that leads technological innovations, is witnessing the rapid development and widespread use of artificial intelligence and software. As wars and conflicts continue to dominate the global agenda, aviation vehicles and systems frequently appear in the media during these conflicts. With globalization, this competition is intensifying, forcing manufacturers in the field to adapt to innovations. Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) are used in every field today and play a significant role, particularly in asymmetric warfare In recent years, the attacks and threats posed by kamikaze drones, a type of unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), have been increasing daily in wars and conflicts around the world. Selecting a kamikaze UAV is not an easy decision, as it requires the simultaneous evaluation of numerous alternatives and criteria. This selection decision requires consideration of various criteria, including payload capacity, maximum speed, endurance, altitude, price, and maximum range. The primary objective of this study is to determine the most suitable kamikaze UAV by considering these criteria. The literature review revealed that selection problems related to UAVs, drones, and aerial vehicles have been frequently encountered in recent years. It was determined that there are no studies on kamikaze UAV selection in Turkey. This study, conducted using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and TOPSIS, two MCDM methods, resulted in a selection from among 3 alternatives using 8 criteria determined by experts. Criterion weighting was performed using AHP and TOPSIS methods, and kamikaze UAVs were evaluated based on these weights. Conclusions were presented based on the findings.
