Abstract

In this study, a new species, Cirsium ayasii H.Duman & Dirmenci, is described and Cirsium aristatum DC. which is a doubtfully recorded is rediscovered in Turkey. Diagnostic characters of the Cirsium ayasii are given. Differences between new species and relatives, Cirsium aytachii H.Duman & R.R.Mill and C. dirmilense R.M.Burton are determined. Descriptions of C. ayasii and C. aristatum, and distribution map, characteristic photographs of median cauline leaves and capitula all of the species are given. In addition, morphological characteristics are discussed with its related species.

Özet

Bu çalışmada, Türkiye’den Cirsium Mill. (Asteraceae) cinsi için yeni bir tür olan Cirsium ayasii H.Duman & Dirmenci tanımlandı ve cinsin şüpheli bir türü olan Cirsium aristatum DC. türünün varlığı yeniden keşfedildi. Cirsium ayasii türünün ayırt edici karakterleri verildi. Yeni türün yakın akrabaları, Cirsium aytachii H.Duman & R.R.Mill ve C. dirmilense R.M.Burton ile farkları belirlendi. C. ayasii ve C. aristatum türlerinin betimi, bütün türlerin orta gövde yapraklarının ve kapitulumlarının özelliklerini gösteren fotoğrafları ile türlerin dağılım haritası verildi. Ayrıca, yeni türün yakın akrabası olan türler ile olan morfolojik farklılıkları tartışıldı.
