Abstract

Innovation is considered a strategic solution for organizations in coping with global competition and environmental uncertainty. Innovation at the individual level is crucial for the sustained success of any organization. Knowledge sharing (KB) behavior is one of the antecedents of innovative behavior at the individual level. However, previous research has made a strong contribution to demonstrating the impact of knowledge sharing on the innovative behavior of other employees. The aim of this study is to examine the relationship between knowledge sharing and innovative work behavior through meta-analysis. In this context, a meta-analysis was conducted using 22 studies that examined knowledge sharing and innovative work behavior together and provided the necessary sample size and Pearson correlation coefficient (r) for the meta-analysis. Values for effect size, publication bias, heterogeneity, and significance tests were obtained using CMA 4.0 software. The PRISMA protocol steps were followed when reporting the study. Under the random effects model, the effect size between knowledge sharing and innovative work behavior was calculated as r = 0.611 and is within the 95% confidence interval. The heterogeneity test yielded an I² value of 96.01% and a Q value of 526.453, indicating that the study has a heterogeneous structure. According to the random effects model results, Fisher’s z effect size is 0.711 (0.607-0.815), which is statistically significant (z=13.378; p=0.000). This finding demonstrates a high level of positive correlation between information sharing and innovative work behavior.
