Abstract

Lymphoid neoplasms represent a heterogeneous groupof neoplasms, including non-Hodgkin lymphoma,Hodgkin lymphoma, multiple myeloma and acute andchronic lymphocytic leukemia. Hodgkin's lymphomais charecterized by progressive enlargement of thelymph nodes. Seven years old male patient presentedwith a year history of cough, sputum, left chest pain, fever. Chest X-ray revealed pneumonic infiltrationand pleural effusion on the middle and lower zones ofthe left lung and a left tube thoracostomy wasperformed. Thorax computed tomography revealedlobular limited mass and multiple conglomeratelymphadenopathy in the left thoracic cavity.Histopathological examination revealed a Hodgkin’slymphoma of nodular sclerosing type. After takingdiagnosis the patient was sent to pediatric hematologyoncology clinics for follow up and therapy. In thisarticle, a Hodgkin’s lymphoma presenting withpneumonia-like symptoms is discussed
