Abstract

With the developing technology, the structural analysis of the parts can be done with simulation in the computer environment. These developed softwares have become even more useful today because it is desired to avoid the cost of testing a part or system in a real environment. With the increase in the use of artificial intelligence systems, the number of things that can be done in these simulation environments is increasing day by day. As it is known, durability is an important factor in the design process of the robot arm, but asking for more durability can cause extra weight in the traditional design approach. With the use of generative design instead of traditional design, it is possible to reduce weight and keep durability constant. In this study, structural simulations of a cable-driven robot arm joint will be made using Fusion360, and innovative design will be made using artificial intelligence add-ons. Comparison of the innovative design and the parts obtained as a result of traditional design in terms of cost, weight and safety coefficient will be made.
