Abstract
Education is really very important for people to improve their perspective, to reach peace and to gain a place in the upper levels. Through education, people improve themselves by increasing their knowledge and skills. Education also makes people more aware of personal and social values, prejudices and cultural differences. Education is also very important for the development of countries. As a result, education is a process that should be in every moment and in every field of life. It is one of the most important factors shaping the future of people and countries. The results of this study will explain the status of the education system and teachers' professional ethics in Turkey and provide important recommendations. In line with the results obtained, it emerges that necessary arrangements should be made regarding the education system and teachers‘ professional ethics in Turkey and various programmes and resources should be provided to support teachers’ professional development. In the writing of this Term Project, quantitative and qualitative research methods were used in addition to the literature review and it was aimed to examine the concept of ethics and teachers' views on professional ethical behaviours in terms of some variables. In the study, teachers working in the central districts of Mersin were included. The sample of the study consists of 97 teachers who were determined by random sampling from the population. In the analysis of the research data; arithmetic mean, standard deviation, frequency and percentage values were calculated. In addition, t-test and ANOVA test were used in the study. By analysing the findings obtained, teachers' views on ethical behaviours and the relationships between different variables were revealed.

Eğitim, gerçekten insanların bakış açısını geliştirmesi, huzura ulaşması ve üst kademelerde yer edinmeleri için çok önemlidir. Eğitim sayesinde insanlar, bilgi ve becerilerini artırarak kendilerini geliştirirler. Eğitim ayrıca, insanların kişisel ve toplumsal değerleri, önyargıları ve kültürel farklılıklar konusunda daha bilinçli olmalarını sağlar. Ülkelerin gelişimi açısından da eğitim çok önemlidir. Sonuç olarak, eğitim, hayatın her anında ve her alanında olması gereken bir süreçtir. İnsanların ve ülkelerin geleceklerini şekillendiren en önemli faktörlerden biridir. Bu çalışmanın sonuçları, Türkiye'deki eğitim sistemi ve öğretmenlerin meslek etiği konusundaki durumunu açıklayacak ve önemli öneriler sunacaktır. Elde edilen sonuçlar doğrultusunda, Türkiye'deki eğitim sistemi ve öğretmenlerin meslek etiği konusunda gerekli düzenlemelerin yapılması ve öğretmenlerin mesleki gelişimlerini desteklemek için çeşitli programlar ve kaynaklar sunulması gerektiği ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu Dönem Projesi yazımında kaynak taramasına yer verilmekle birlikte nicel ve nitel araştırma yöntemlerine başvurulmuş ve etik kavramı ve öğretmenlerin mesleki etik davranışlara ilişkin görüşlerinin bazı değişkenler açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmada Mersin merkez ilçelerinde çalışan öğretmenden oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemi, evrenden tesadüfî örnekleme yoluyla ile belirlenen 97 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Araştırma verilerinin analizinde; aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, frekans ve yüzde değerleri hesaplanmıştır. Ayrıca araştırmada, t-testi, ANOVA testi kullanılmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular analiz edilerek, öğretmenlerin etik davranışlarına ilişkin görüşleri ve farklı değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler ortaya konulmuştur.
