Abstract

This study aims to examine the effects of green warehousing strategies implemented in authorized bonded warehouse enterprises operating in Istanbul on logistics performance. The research was conducted using a quantitative and relational survey model that evaluates, within a holistic framework, the relationships among green warehousing practices, their environmental, social, and economic outcomes, and the components of logistics performance. The data were obtained from 392 participants selected through the convenience sampling method. The results of the study revealed, through correlation and regression analyses, that green warehousing practices produce positive and significant effects on logistics performance; in particular, energy and resource efficiency and environmental performance strengthen delivery, cost, and operational efficiency indicators. The presence of limited but significant differences according to demographic variables indicates that organizational capacity and firm size may influence the level of implementation. The findings demonstrate that green warehousing processes constitute a strategic lever in the logistics sector in terms of both sustainability and competitiveness.
