Abstract

Aim: To compare clinicopathological features, treatment responses, and survival outcomes of HER-2 positive and HER-2 negative metastatic Luminal B breast cancer. Materials and Methods: Retrospective data of 130 patients diagnosed between 2010 and 2024 were analyzed. Patients were grouped by HER-2 status, and comparisons were made. Survival analyses used Kaplan-Meier curves, log-rank tests, and Cox regression. Results: Significant differences were observed in ECOG performance status (p<0.001), ER (p=0.001), PR (p=0.046), first-line metastatic treatment (p<0.001), and mortality (p=0.019). Median overall survival was 29.66 months in the HER-2 positive group and 42.53 months in the HER-2 negative group (p=0.082). Conclusion: While survival outcomes did not differ significantly between groups, distinct differences in treatment strategies were identified.

Özet

Amaç: Bu çalışma, HER-2 pozitif ve HER-2 negatif metastatik Luminal B meme kanseri alt tiplerini klinikopatolojik özellikler, tedavi yanıtları ve sağkalım süreleri açısından karşılaştırmayı amaçlamaktadır. Gereç ve Yöntem: 2010-2024 yılları arasında tanı konulan 130 metastatik Luminal B meme kanseri hastasının retrospektif verileri incelendi. Hastalar HER-2 durumuna göre iki gruba ayrıldı; sağkalım Kaplan-Meier, log-rank testi ve Cox regresyon analiziyle değerlendirildi. Bulgular: ECOG (p<0,001), ER (p=0,001), PR (p=0,046), metastatik 1. sıra tedavi (p<0,001) ve mortalite (p=0,019) değişkenlerinde gruplar arasında anlamlı fark bulundu. Median genel sağkalım HER-2 pozitif grupta 29,66 ay, HER-2 negatif grupta 42,53 ay idi (p=0,082). Sonuç: HER-2 durumuna göre sağkalım farklılıkları istatistiksel anlam taşımamakla birlikte, tedavi yaklaşımları arasında belirgin klinik ayrışmalar saptanmıştır.
