Abstract
The ecological criticism (environmentalist criticism/ecocriticism) theory and ecological poetry (eco-poetry), which have been put forward by using the awareness/awareness-raising function of literature in recent times when human-induced environmental damage has increased, can be used as a tool in concretizing the destruction caused by humanity. With its mediation function, ecological criticism and ecological poetry can be considered as an important initiative in the name of awareness to be created in order to restore the balance of nature. The aim of the study is to evaluate the theme of "Nature and Universe" in the secondary school Turkish course books in the context of ecopoetry and to make some alternative poetry suggestions for the related coursebooks. In the first chapter of the study, ecological criticism theory and ecological poetry are introduced. In the second chapter, the poems in the secondary school Turkish language coursebooks (5th-8th grades) within the scope of the theme of "Nature and the Universe" are examined in the context of ecological poetry. At the end of the study, it was revealed that the poems included in the relevant theme focused only on the beauty of nature in the subject/main emotion and that none of the poems were related to the ecopoetry type. Poems determined as a result of field scanning based on the aforementioned determination are listed as examples that can be included in secondary school Turkish language coursebooks in the context of ecopoetry. Some suggestions have been made in order to draw attention to the type of ecopoetry.

İnsan kaynaklı çevresel tahribatların arttığı son dönemlerde edebiyatın bilinçlendirme/farkındalık yaratma işlevi işe koşularak ortaya konan ekolojik eleştiri (çevreci eleştiri/ekoeleştiri) kuramı ve ekolojik şiir (ekoşiir) türü insanlığın sebep olduğu yıkımı somutlaştırmada bir araç olarak kullanılabilir. Aracılık işlevi ile ekolojik eleştiri ve ekolojik şiir, doğanın dengesini yeniden sağlanması amacıyla yaratılacak farkındalık adına önemli bir girişim olarak değerlendirilebilir. Çalışmanın amacı ortaokul Türkçe ders kitaplarında yer alan “Doğa ve Evren” temasını ekoşiir bağlamında değerlendirmek ve ilgili ders kitaplarına yönelik birtakım alternatif şiir önerilerinde bulunmaktır. Çalışmanın ilk bölümünde ekolojik eleştiri kuramı ile ekolojik şiir türü tanıtılmıştır. İkinci bölümde “Doğa ve Evren” teması kapsamında ortaokul Türkçe ders kitaplarında (5-8. sınıflar) yer alan şiirler belirlenerek ekolojik şiir (ekoşiir) bağlamında irdelenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonunda ilgili temada yer alan şiirlerin konu/ana duygu özelinde sadece doğa güzelliğine odaklandığı ve hiçbir şiirin ekoşiir türü ile ilintili olmadığı ortaya çıkmıştır. Söz konusu tespitten hareketle alan taraması sonucu belirlenen şiirler, ekoşiir bağlamında ortaokul Türkçe ders kitaplarında yer alabilecek örnekler olarak sıralanmıştır. Ekoşiir türüne dikkat çekilmesi amacıyla birtakım öneriler sunulmuştur.
