Abstract

Abstract Objective: The COVID-19 pandemic has left health workers facing stigma with the spread of the disease worldwide. The purpose is to adapt the COVID-19 Stigma Scale into the Turkish and to determine its validity and reliability. Methods: A total of 138 nurses were included in the study to evaluate the Turkish adaptation of the scale consisting of 13 items. Construct validity of the scale was tested linguistics and psychometric measurements. Results: The factor load values of scale were found to be between .56 and .93. The total Cronbach Alpha of the scale was .82. It was found that the Turkish adaptation of the scale has three dimensions according to the factor design. Conclusion: Turkish adaptation of the COVID-19 Stigma Scale is a valid and reliable tool for nurses' perception of stigma due to COVID-19.

Özet

Covid-19 Damgalama Ölçeği'nin Türkçe ‘ye Uyarlanması: Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması Öz Amaç: COVID-19 pandemisi, sağlık çalışanlarını hastalığın dünya çapında yayılmasıyla damgalanmaya maruz bıraktı. Amaç, COVID-19 Damgalama Ölçeği'nin Türkçe ‘ye uyarlanması, geçerlik ve güvenilirliğinin belirlenmesidir.
