Abstract

Even though Ahmet Kutsi Tecer, who has achieved a prominent position in the Turkish literature that developed in the second quarter of the twentieth century, is known with many titles such as poet, playwright, folk culture researcher, educator and bureaucrat, it is undoubtedly his poetry that makes us still remember him today. He closely knew the suffering people of this sorrowful geography, and Anatolian people and culture became the most important source of inspiration for his poetry. Tecer is a poet who observes and hears Anatolia and expresses its voice, word and culture in his poetry. By ensuring that Turkish-Anatolian folk culture collection is recorded, he prevented the loss and forgetting of this very valuable oral literary material. The patterns he created in his poetry from this precious material make Tecer’s poetry distinctive. In this study, Tecer’s poems have been closely analyzed and it has been emphasized how the motifs of “Anatolia” and “Anatolian people” are treated in Tecer’s poems.

Bu çalışmada, Tecer’in şiirlerine yakından bakılarak, “Anadolu” ve “Anadolu insanı” motiflerinin Tecer’in şiirlerinde nasıl işlendiği üzerinde durulmuştur.
