The effect of comman disinfectants at the different concentrations on two Haernophilus strains was investigated. At an inoculum size of 105 CFU/ml, 0.078% phenolic compound, 70% ethyl aleohal and 10 ppm free iodine in iodophor killed two strains within 1 min. Ouaternary ammonium compound (1 :50.000) and 2% formalin killed both strains within 15 min.
