Abstract

Haemaglutination inhibition antibodies in the vaccinated or diseased laying hens, can easiliy be determined by HI test. In this experiment, the possibilities of using egg yolk HI titer instead of serum titer were studied. 10 white Shaver hens vaccinated 4 times whith Newcastle disease vaccine and 10 red Welp-line hens vaccinated 5 times whith the same vaccines were selected. 20 Legorn hens were kept as control. Haemaglutination Inhibition antibodies in hens were determined by HI test both in egg yolk and blood sera during testing period. It was observed that HI titres of yolk fluctuated while blood sera HI titres were stable. Egg yolk HI titres were different in each hen. Some of the HI titres of egg yolks and blood sera of non- vaccined hens were negative, (titer ≤7,5). As a result, it can be said that it is possible to determine HI antibodies in laying hens which had Newcastle disease of Newcastle vaccine by HI test using egg yolk . But the egg yolk method can't be replaced by blood sera.

Tavuklarda oluşan hemaglutinasyona mani olucu antikorlar, deneme süresince, devamlı alçalıp yükselme göstermiş, yumurta sarısı titresi her zaman serumdan daha düşük bulunmuştur. Tavuklardaki antikor titreleri her tavukta değişiklik göstermiştir.
