Abstract

Learning is the process of interpreting and structuring knowledge. Each individual's processes of interpreting and structuring information are different. Because the cognitive characteristics of individuals affect their learning processes. With the right methods to be applied in the learning process, the areas that can be successful are supported, while on the other hand, the learning process can be more effective and faster. This situation is more important in groups with specific learning difficulties. Specific learning disability refers to the difficulties experienced by the individual in the process of understanding and using language in written or spoken form. Individuals with normal or above normal intelligence but with specific learning difficulties may have serious problems in performing listening, thinking, speaking, reading, writing, comprehension or mathematics skills. This condition, which affects learning but is not an intelligence problem, can also bring emotional, behavioral and social problems. Within the scope of the study, the formal characteristics of typeface designs designed for dyslexic individuals with specific learning difficulties will be examined and their suitability for the needs of individuals with dyslexia will be discussed.
