Abstract

Firearm injuries of suicidal origin with more than one entry hole are rare cases compared to gunshot wounds of suicide origin with a single entry hole and are characterized as unusual when seen. In this study, 226 cases of death due to firearm injuries, autopsied between 2013 and 2019 by the Muğla Forensic Medicine Branch Office, were retrospectively analyzed. In our study, we aimed to present two cases with more than one entry hole among these cases of death due to gunshot injury originating from suicide. In the 2 cases we presented; It was concluded that there was no fatal organ injury after the first shots and they were able to shoot the second shots because it did not cause an injury that could reduce the ability to move or stop.
