Abstract

Abstract Education is the change occurring through learning. When a person learns something new, their thoughts, feelings, skills, and their being as a whole are transformed. They are no longer the person they were before the moment of learning. From the moment of birth, a human being is transformed through education, that is, through learning from a biological entity into a cultural being. Through learning, one learns what it means to be human, to be a sibling, a friend, and a citizen. By learning and teaching, we educate, transform, and improve both ourselves and others. Education is a necessary condition to be a cultural being. Without education, there is no human as a cultural being. The purpose of this study is to examine education from pedagogical, psychological, sociological, and philosophical perspectives; to explain what education is, how it occurs, and the role it plays in human existence. It aims to show how education shapes who we are and how it will influence whoever we will become in the future. In this context, it seeks to demonstrate that education is as natural right as the right to life. In this study, sources examining the power of education and the relationship between education and the human being were reviewed. Through new syntheses and newly formed concepts, a theoretical framework has been constructed that demonstrates the power of education to build humans as cultural beings. The study is expected to serve as a theoretical resource for educators and education researchers.
