Abstract

In the digital age, user experience has evolved into a multifaceted communication process shaped not only by aesthetics and functionality but also by persuasion, interaction, and ethics. This study analyzes leading digital platforms—Spotify, Duolingo, Instagram, Netflix, and Udemy—through the lens of classical rhetorical principles (ethos, pathos, logos) as defined by Aristotle, as well as contemporary rhetorical theories including the New Rhetoric of Perelman & Olbrechts-Tyteca, Burke’s concept of identification, and Warnick’s digital rhetoric framework. A qualitative research design was employed, incorporating multiple case studies, content analysis, and genre analysis. Within this framework, rhetorical strategies were examined in relation to gamification, personalization algorithms, and emotional design elements. Findings reveal that these platforms create strong user engagement and loyalty by blending persuasive rhetorical techniques with digital technologies. By addressing ethical design principles and sustainable user experience, the study proposes an interdisciplinary model that evaluates the social and cultural impact of digital platforms from a rhetorical perspective.
