Abstract
Turcological studies in various countries of the world are progressing by researching and analysing subjects related to many academic disciplines as well as Turkish language, history and culture. The relations of other nations with Turks have changed in the historical process due to political, economic or social reasons, and Turcological research has been directly affected by these results. According to this situation, it is seen that the importance given to Turcology today is gradually decreasing compared to the XXth century. In this study, in the three-volume work titled Turcology in the World, the studies written about the development and current situation of Turcology in the countries examined are summarised and examined. Based on these analyses, suggestions have been made for the future of Turcology based on the current situation of the science.

Dünyanın çeşitli ülkelerindeki Türkoloji çalışmaları, Türk dili, tarihi ve kültürünün yanında pek çok akademik disipline dair konuların araştırılması ve incelenmesiyle ilerlemektedir. Diğer milletlerin Türklerle kurduğu ilişkiler, tarihsel süreçte siyasi, ekonomik veya toplumsal nedenlerle değişmiş ve Türkoloji araştırmaları da bu sonuçlardan doğrudan etkilenmiştir. Bu duruma göre günümüzde Türkolojiye verilen önemin XX. yüzyıla kıyasla giderek azaldığı görülmektedir. Bu çalışmada, Dünya’da Türkoloji adlı üç ciltlik eserde, Türkolojinin ülkelerdeki gelişimi ve mevcut durumu hakkında kaleme alınmış çalışmalar özetlenerek incelenmiştir. Söz konusu incelemelerden yola çıkılarak Türkoloji biliminin günümüzdeki durumundan hareketle geleceğine dair önerilerde bulunulmuştur.
