Abstract
This study examined the points that Reddit users who are trying to learn Turkish as a foreign language have difficulty with regarding Turkish. The main purpose of the study is to determine how online forums and social media applications such as Reddit contribute to the process of learning Turkish as a foreign language and which language elements learners have the most difficulty with in Turkish on these platforms. The document analysis method was used in the study. The study group of the study consists of the posts of users in the subdirectory (group) /turkishlearning on the Reddit platform. The obtained data was analyzed with the descriptive analysis method. The MAXQDA 24 program was used in the analysis of the data. The findings obtained in the study show that learners have difficulties especially in the areas of grammar and vocabulary. While the use of suffixes and the selection of pronouns in the correct context are among the most frequently encountered problems, it was determined that topics such as moods, tenses, syntax and passive structures create difficulties at a lower frequency. In terms of culture, it was seen that proverbs, idioms and polysemic words pose significant obstacles for learners. In this context, it is recommended that more emphasis be given to topics such as suffixes, pronouns and word meaning differences in teaching Turkish as a foreign language. In addition, the use of words in context and the integration of cultural elements into teaching can contribute to overcoming the cultural difficulties that learners encounter.

Bu araştırmada yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenmeye çalışan Reddit kullanıcılarının Türkçe hakkında zorlandığı noktalar incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın temel amacı, Reddit gibi çevrim içi forumların ve sosyal medya uygulamalarının yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğrenme sürecine nasıl katkıda bulunduğunu ve öğrenicilerin bu platformlarda Türkçede, en çok hangi dil unsurlarında zorlandığını tespit etmektir. Araştırmada nitel araştırmadan doküman analizi yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu ise Reddit platformunda alt dizin (grup) olan /turkishlearning’teki kullanıcıların paylaşımları oluşturmaktadır. Elde edilen veriler betimsel analiz yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Verilerin çözümlenmesinde MAXQDA 24 programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırmada elde edilen bulgular, öğrenicilerin özellikle dil bilgisi ve kelime bilgisi alanlarında güçlük yaşadıklarını göstermektedir. Eklerin kullanımı ve zamirlerin doğru bağlamda seçimi en sık karşılaşılan sorunlar arasında yer alırken kipler, zamanlar, söz dizimi ve edilgen yapılar gibi konuların daha düşük frekansta zorluk oluşturduğu belirlenmiştir. Kültürel açıdan ise atasözleri, deyimler ve çok anlamlı kelimelerin öğreniciler için önemli engeller oluşturduğu görülmüştür. Bu doğrultuda, yabancı dil olarak Türkçe öğretiminde ekler, zamirler ve kelime anlam farklılıkları gibi konulara daha fazla ağırlık verilmesi önerilmektedir.
