Abstract

Purpose: The frequency of the made violence against staff working in health institutions and organizations in Turkey, type, and to determine the results by examining the seriousness, is conducted to determine as well whether the years are differences in terms of the number of violence reported by reputation.Materials and Methods: In this study, “White Code” records of the Ministry of Health between the years 2012-2018 belonging to the institutions and organizations affiliated to the Ministry of Health were analyzed retrospectively. The data obtained were evaluated within the scope of the type of violence, the type of hospital where the notification was made, the unit where the violence took place, the title of the personnel subjected to the violence, the time of the violence, the cause of the violence and the result of the violence. Pairwise.prop.test was used in the R language to calculate binary comparisons between violent incidents. Results: When we examine the study, propensity for violence was more; during the summer months, in public hospitals, emergency services, between 10: 00 and 14: 00 and verbal violence rather than physical violence; and the victim of violence is often a doctor. Brickbat increased over the years; It has been found that physical violence decreased especially after 2016.Conclusion: Violence against personnel working in the health sector should be resolved with sustainable health reform
