Bu çalışmada, bünyesinde üniversite gençliğinin büyük bir kısmını barındıran Yükseköğrenim Kredi ve Yurtlar Kurumuna bağlı yurtlarda kalan kız öğrencilerin rekreasyon alışkanlıkları sorunları ve yurtların hu konuda öğrencilere sağladığı imkanların yeterliliği ile beklentiler araştırılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre, yurtlarda kalan öğrencilere yeterli rekreatif ortamların sunulmadığı, personelin boş zamanlarının değerlendirilmesi konusunda ilgisiz, kaklığı, bu nedenle öğrencilerin bir kısmının yurt dışındaki ortamlara yöneldiği ve rekreasyon ihtiyacının genelde özel sektör tarafından giderildiği belirlenmiştir.
