\r\n The main goal of this study is to find which intelligence types the classroom teacher trainees seem to excel in and to determine the types the trainees think they will have difficulties when using during social studies classes. The sample group consists of 212 fourth grade students who were studying in the 2005-2006 academic year at the Uludağ University, Faculty of Education, Department of Primary Education. According to the results, the naturalistic, verbal/linguistic and musical/rhythmic intelligences of the classroom teacher trainees are at mid-level, and they have the other types at high level. Besides, it was found that the trainees do not think they will have difficulties when using the social, verbal/linguistic and logical/mathematical intelligence types during social studies classes. However, they think that they will have difficulties when they are to use the musical/rhythmic, naturalistic and bodily/kinesthetic intelligence types during the activities in the social studies classes.\r\n

\r\n Bu çalışmanın amacı, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının hangi zekâ alanlarına daha yatkın olduklarının tespit edilmesi ve öğretmen adaylarının sosyal bilgiler derslerindeki etkinliklerde kullanırken zorlanıp zorlanmayacaklarını düşündükleri zekâ alanlarının ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. 2005-2006 öğretim yılında Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Sınıf Öğretmenliği Anabilim Dalı’nda öğrenim gören 212 son sınıf öğrencisi örneklemi oluşturmaktadır. Çalışma sonucunda, sınıf öğretmeni adaylarının doğa zekâsı, sözel zekâ ve müzikal zekâlarının “orta düzeyde gelişmiş” olduğu, diğer zekâ alanlarının ise “gelişmiş” olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca, öğretmen adaylarının büyük bir kısmının; sosyal bilgiler derslerindeki etkinliklerde sosyal zekâ, sözel zekâ ve mantıksal zekâ alanlarını kullanırken zorluk yaşamayacaklarını düşündükleri tespit edilmiştir. Buna karşın, öğretmen adayları müzikal zekâ, doğa zekâsı ve bedensel zekâyı sosyal bilgiler derslerindeki etkinliklerde kullanırken zorluk yaşayacaklarını düşünmektedirler.\r\n
