\r\n Currently, global climate change is one of the most important problems that require solutions. Since younger generations are the once who will be impacted by the adverse impacts of climate change (eco-system change, migration, heath impact, etc.), it is necessary to inform and educate them about the issues of climate impacts and possible solutions, to integrate them into policy making processes, and to support them to produce their own solutions from their own perspectives. The first purpose of this presentation is to describe what has been done to support youth participation at the United Nations level. The second purpose is to evaluate what has been done to integrate youth into the climate change issues in Turkey. In this presentation, the significance of youth participation in decision making processes about climate change polcties is emphasized.\r\n

\r\n Küresel iklim değişikliği günümüzde çözüm bekleyen en önemli sorunlardan biridir. Küresel iklim değişikliğinin olumsuz sonuçlarından (eko sistem değişikliği, göç, sağlık, v.b. gibi) uzun vadede etkilenecek olanlar genç kuşaklar olacağına göre, gençlerin bu konuda bilgilendirilmesi, eğitilmesi, sorunu çözmeye yönelik oluşturulan günümüz politikaların içine entegre edilmesi ve gençlerin soruna kendi bakış açısından çözüm bulmaya yönelik politikalar üretmelerinin teşvik edilmeleri kaçınılmazdır. Bu sunumun birinci amacı, küresel iklim değişikliği konusunda Birleşmiş Milletler bünyesinde gençliğin katılımına yönelik nelerin yapıldığını anlatmaktır. İkinci amacı, Türkiye'de konuya yönelik nelerin yapıldığına dair durum tespitinde bulunmaktır. Bu sunuda, gençlerin küresel iklim değişikliği politikalarının oluşturulmasına yönelik karar alma süreci içine katılımının önemi vurgulanmaktadır.\r\n
