Abstract
In this study, the state of educational activities in Kosovo during the coronavirus epidemic, the happenings in the education system and the solutions produced were put forward; views of teachers and students on traditional practices in the coronavirus period and before were examined. It is aimed to provide data that will contribute to the relevant literature and opinions of decision makers. The study is a descriptive study using mixed research design. Data were collected through document analysis and interviews, and analysed by content analysis method. With the coronavirus epidemic, education was suspended in schools in Kosovo, and national exams were first postponed and then cancelled. Instead of education in schools, meetings were held on online platforms, as well as videos with lectures were broadcast on television channels and Youtube. Turkey’s virtual education platform EBA has been used for the first time by Kosovo’s Turkish Community. From the data compiled from teachers and students, the results of the study are as follows: traditional education is more effective and functional compared to the coronavirus period practices, it provides better solutions to the accessibility to education and school’s absenteeism reduction. Also, coronavirus period practices are required to protect individual and public health.

Bu çalışmada, koronavirüs salgını döneminde Kosova Cumhuriyeti’ndeki eğitim faaliyetlerinin durumu, eğitim sisteminde yaşananlar ve bunlara yönelik üretilen çözümler ortaya konmuş; koronavirüs dönemi ve öncesindeki geleneksel uygulamalara yönelik öğretmen/öğrenci görüşleri incelenmiştir. Bu yolla, ilgili alanyazına ve karar vericilerin görüşlerine katkı sağlayacak veri temin edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Çalışma, karma araştırma deseni kullanılarak yapılmış betimsel bir çalışmadır. Veriler, doküman analizi ve görüşme yoluyla toplanmış, içerik analizi yöntemiyle çözümlenmiştir. Koronavirüs salgını ile birlikte Kosova Cumhuriyeti’nde okullarda eğitime ara verilmiş, ulusal düzeydeki sınavlar ise önce ertelenmiş, sonra da iptal edilmiştir. Okullarda eğitim yerine, çevrim içi platformlarda toplantılar gerçekleştirilmiş, bunun yanı sıra televizyon kanalları ve Youtube üzerinden konu anlatımlı videolar yayınlanmıştır. Türkiye’nin sanal eğitim platformu olan Eğitim Bilişim Ağı (EBA), Kosova Türk toplumu tarafından ilk defa kullanılmaya başlanmıştır. Öğretmen ve öğrencilerden derlenen veriler ışığında, söz konusu çalışmanın sonuçları genel hatlarıyla şöyle ifade edilebilir: Geleneksel eğitim, koronavirüs dönemindeki eğitim uygulamalarına göre daha etkin ve işlevseldir; eğitime erişimin sağlanması ve okulu bırakma sayılarının azaltılması konularında, çok daha iyi çözümler sunmaktadır. Bunun yanı sıra, hem bireysel hem de toplumsal sağlığı korumak adına, koronavirüs dönemi uygulamalarının gerekli olduğu düşüncesiyle birlikte, oldukça sınırlı bir görüşe göre, bu sürecin öğretmen ve öğrencilerin teknolojik uygulamalara adaptasyonunu artırdığı sonuçları da elde edilmiştir.
