Tarihsel süreç incelendiğinde insanoğlunun her yönüyle sürekli bir değişimiçerisinde olduğu görülmektedir. Ancak değişimle birlikte değişime karşıdirenç de ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bireysel ve sosyal alandaki değişime karşıdirenci ortaya çıkaran kavramlardan ikisi, sosyal psikolojinin de konusu olan,kalıp yargı ve ön yargı kavramlarıdır. İnsanı bireysel ve sosyal anlamdaetkileyen din alanındaki değişim ve bu değişime karşı direnç söz konusuolduğunda da yine kalıp yargı ve ön yargı kavramları karşımıza çıkmaktadır.Bu makalede, genel olarak dinin, özel olarak ise İslam dininin sunduğudeğişime karşı direnci oluşturan kalıp yargı ve ön yargı kavramları, bunlarındine etkileri ve sonuçları ele alınacaktır.
