Abstract
\r\n In addition to intense and unplanned interferences to the natural environment by human, destructive (maybe it can also be regenerative) environmental formations –especially global changes- occurring along with the cyclical process of natural environment itself are defined as environmental problem. These spatial problems are perceived and defined differently in various regions and layers of the world and society. The subject of this research intends to determine how primary school students of 2nd Grade perceive the environmental problems and what sorts of solution recommendetions they consider for these problems (according to the administrative and functional features of the residing settlement). Therefore, three open-ended questions were asked to the participants (2nd Grade Primary School Students) in order to determine the perception of environmental problems and solution recommendetions. These are respectively; (1) "According to me, environmental problem means… Because…" (2) "Concept of environmental problem means … Because…" (3) "… should be done to prevent environmental problems." Categories of perception of environmental problems were constituted as "categories of perception of environmental problems" both according to the functional features of the residing settlement and in broad scope, by evaluating the answers given by the participants through phenomenographic analysis method. The results of these findings were discussed and evaluated.\r\n

\r\n İnsanın, doğal ortama yaptığı asırı ve plansız müdahalelerin yanı sıra, doğal ortamın kendi döngüsel süreci boyunca meydana gelen yıkıcı (belki de yenileyici) çevresel olusumlar, -özellikle küresel ölçekli mekansal değisimler- çevre sorunu olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Bu mekânsal sorunlar, dünyanın ve toplumun çesitli bölge ve katmanlarında farklı algılanmakta ve tanımlanmaktadır. Bu arastırmanın konusunu da ilköğretim ikinci kademe öğrencilerinin (yasadıkları yerlesim ünitesinin idari ve fonksiyonel özelliğine göre), çevre sorunlarını nasıl algıladıklarını ve bu sorunlar için ne tür çözüm önerileri düsündüklerini belirlemeye yöneliktir. Bunun için, katılımcılara (ilköğretim ikinci kademe öğrencilerine), çevre sorunlarını algılama ve çözüm önerilerini belirlemek için üç adet açık uçlu soru yöneltilmistir. Bunlar sırasıyla; (1) "Bana göre çevre sorunu ... demektir. Çünkü…". (2) "Çevre sorunu kavramı ... anlamına gelmektedir. Çünkü…" . (3) "Çevre sorunlarını önlemek için … yapılmalıdır".
