Abstract

Power relations, which are a very important issue in terms of social structure, develop mainly through the practices of domination and resistance. Therefore, in order to fully understand the phenomenon of power, domination and resistance practices should be considered. Infrapolitics as a system of resistance draws attention at this point. As a resistance against the domination practices of the power, infrapolitics can be evaluated as a strategy of the individuals who are under domination. These unorganized resistance strategies have different tools. In this context, gossip is considered as an element of infrapolitics. Gossip is an important tool at the point of developing a discourse against the discourses of their rulers and problematizing the existing power relations. From this point of view, the main purpose of the study is to discuss the phenomenon of gossip as an infrapolitics element in the axis of power relations. In addition, the literature review method was used in the study, and the place of gossip phenomenon in power relations is tried to be clarified by using the concepts and thoughts in the literature.

Özet

Toplumsal yapı açısından oldukça önemli bir mesele olan iktidar ilişkilerinin temelde tahakküm ve direniş pratikleri üzerinden geliştiği ifade edilebilir. Dolayısıyla iktidar olgusunun tam olarak anlamlandırılabilmesi için tahakküm ve direniş pratiklerin göz önünde bulundurulması gerekmektedir. Ancak bu direniş her zaman sistemli bir biçimde gerçekleşmemektedir. İktidara karşı bir direniş sistemi olarak altpolitika, bu noktada dikkat çekmektedir. İktidarın tahakküm pratiklerine karşıt bir direniş olarak altpolitika, tahakküm altında bulunan bireylerin bir stratejisi olarak değerlendirilebilir. Örgütlü olmayan bu direniş stratejilerinin farklı araçları bulunmaktadır. Dedikodu, bu çerçevede altpolitikanın bir unsuru olarak değerlendirilmektedir. İktidarlarının söylemlerine karşıt bir söylemin geliştirilebilmesi ve mevcut iktidar ilişkilerinin sorunsallaştırılması noktasında dedikodu, önemli bir araçtır. Bu noktadan hareketle çalışmanın temel amacı, dedikodu olgusunu bir altpolitika unsuru olarak iktidar ilişkileri ekseninde tartışmaktır. Ayrıca çalışmada literatür taraması yöntemi kullanılmış olup, literatürde yer alan kavramlar ve düşüncelerden hareket edilerek, dedikodu olgusunun iktidar ilişkilerindeki yeri belirginleştirilmeye çalışılmaktadır.
