COVID-19 Pandemisinde Hemşirelik Öğrencilerinin Mesleki Algılarının İncelenmesi

Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı, COVID-19 pandemisinde hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelik mesleği algılarını incelenmektir. Tanımlayıcı ve kesitsel tipte olan bu araştırma, 1-15 Ekim 2021 tarihlerinde, bir devlet üniversitesinde öğrenim gören hemşirelik bölümü öğrencileriyle yürütülmüştür. Araştırmada örneklem seçimine gidilmeyerek evrenin tamamına ulaşılmak hedeflenmiştir. Veriler “Tanıtıcı Bilgi Formu” ve “Hemşirelik Mesleğini Algılama Ölçeği (HMAÖ)” ile toplanmıştır. Veriler, SPSS 21 programında, Mann Whitney U Testi ile Kruskal Wallis Testi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Öğrencilerinin cinsiyetleri (p=0.016), en uzun süre yaşadığı yer (p=0.019) ve sınıfı (p=0.007) ile meslek algıları arasında anlamlı sonuç varken, diğer değişkenler ile anlamlı sonuç saptanmamıştır. Yapılan araştırma sonucunda hemşirelik öğrencilerinin hemşirelik mesleği algılarının olumlu yönde olduğu fakat COVID-19 pandemisinin öğrencilerin meslek algılarını etkilemediği belirlenmiştir.
Abstract
The aim of this study is to investigation nursing students’ perceptions of the nursing profession in the COVID-19 pandemic. This descriptive and cross-sectional study was conducted on 1-15 October 2021 with nursing students studying at a state university. In the study, it was aimed to reach the entire population by not choosing a sample. Data were collected with the “Descriptive Information Form”, “Nursing Profession Perception Scale”. The data were analyzed using the Mann Whitney U Test and the Kruskal Wallis Test in the SPSS 21 program. While there were significant results between students’ gender (p=0.016), place of residence (p=0.019) and class (p=0.007) and their profession perceptions, no significant results were found with other variables. As a result of this research, it was determined that the nursing students' perceptions of the nursing profession were positive, but the COVID-19 pandemic did not affect the students' perceptions of their profession.
