Özet

Tarihsel süreç içerisinde sayısız tanımlamalarla karşımıza çıkan sanatın, insanın toplumsal yaşamı ile var olduğu düşünülür. Toplumsal yaşamı oluşturan tüm oluşumlar, yapılar ve değerler ile sanat olgusu, yoğun bir ilişki ve etkileşim içerisinde olmuştur. Kuşkusuz bu oluşumlardan bir olan ideoloji de toplumsal bir yapının ürünü olarak ortaya çıkmıştır. İdeolojik yapılanmalar her çağda etkin olmuş ve bu gücü de çoğu zaman bireylerin, iktidarların, liderlerin ihtiraslarından almıştır. Geçmiş dönemlere ait kalıntıların incelenmesi, bu yapılanmaların en eski çağlarda da kendilerine en çok sanatsal faaliyetlerde yer bulduğunu göstermektedir. Sanat eserleri geçmişten günümüze, estetik haz işlevinin dışında, ideolojilerin ve yönetimlerin propagandasını yapmak gibi amaçlara hizmet etmiştir. Kuşkusuz egemen ideolojinin propagandasını yapmak, sanatın yaygın kabul gören işlevlerinden biridir. Sanat, özellikle de heykel, bu işlevi nedeniyle, birçok dönemde politik erk tarafından kendi iktidarını pekiştirmek amacıyla desteklenmiştir. Yani, heykel bu arenada sırtından en çok geçinilen alan olmuştur. O, hâkim güçlerin en çok barındığı ve korunduğu alanları temsil etmiştir. Tarihin hemen her döneminde mevcut erk ve iktidarların, inançlarının veya ideolojik düşüncelerinin yayılıp kabul ettirilmesi sürecinde, anıtsal uygulamalar görkemli bir yöntem olarak tercih edilmiştir. Anıtsal heykeller, dönemin şartlarıyla ve ekonomisiyle bağlantılı olarak dünyanın çeşitli bölgelerinde ve kültürlerinde genişleyen kullanım alanları, artan hedef kitle, değişen sosyo-ekonomik düzenler ve ideolojiler doğrultusunda mesajlar yüklenerek uygulanmıştır. Çalışmanın inceleme alanını oluşturan büyük boyutlu kaya yontu heykeller; Hitit, Asur, Babil, Miken, Mısır, Pers, Helen, Roma, medeniyetlerinde olduğu gibi, sonralarındaki birçok medeniyette de görülmektedir. Bahsi geçen bu medeniyetlerde figüratif tasvirler ve mitolojik varlıkların betimlendiği büyük boyutlu eser bırakma kaygısı açıkça gözlemlenmektedir. Bu durum, söz konusu dönemlerde, mevcut erkin korunması için, sanat üretimini gerekli gören yönetimleri açıkça gözler önüne sermektedir. Bu çalışmada; Anadolu, Mezopotamya, Mısır ve Uzak Doğu coğrafyalarındaki büyük medeniyetlerin, egemen yönetimleri tarafından özellikle çevreye hakim noktalara konumlandırılmış büyük boyutlu yontu ve rölyeflerin, dini ve ideolojik birer araç olarak nasıl kullanıldığı incelenmektedir

Abstract

It is thought that the art that come across with numerous definitions is existed with social life of humanity in the historical process. All the formations, structures and values which make up the social life and the art phenomenon have been in relationship and interaction. Surely, being one of these formations; the ideology also has emerged as the product of a social structure. Ideological constructions have been active in all ages. This has been driven by the passions of the people, the rulers, the leaders. Examinations of the remains of past periods demonstrated that these ideological structures showed themselves usually in artistic activities.The works of art have served for a lot of purposes such as making the propaganda of the administration for the ideological purpose beyond the aesthetic pleasure, from the past to the present. Undoubtedly, the propaganda of the dominant ideology is one of the widely accepted functions of art. Art, especially art of sculpture has been supported by political powers in many periods in order to reinforce their power. It represented the areas where the judge powers were most housed and protected. In almost all periods of history, monumental practices have been used as a splendid method during of spreading the belief or ideological thought by existing powers. Monumental sculptures loaded with messages has been practiced in the various regions and cultures of the world, depending to the changing socio-economic patterns and ideologies and expanding usage areas, increasing number of target groups.The large rock carved sculptures that constitute the study area are also found in many civilizations such as in Hittite, Assyrian, Babylonian, Mycenae, Egyptian, Persian, Helen, Roman, civilizations. In these civilizations are clearly observed anxiety to leave large-scale artifacts which Figurative portrayals and mythological beings. This situation shows the fact that governing administrations pay attention to create art to preserve their dominations.In this study; it has been examined that how these belongings to the great civilizations that have existed in Anatolia, Mesopotamia, Egypt and the Far East, especially; the large scale sculptures and reliefs, which are located in the periphery as a religious and ideological mediator by the ruling administrations
