Uluslararası Ticaret ve Lojistik Öğrencilerinin Geleceğe Yönelik Mesleki Beklentileri

Özet
Türkiye’de uluslararası ticaret ve lojistik konularına verilen önem son yıllarda artış gösterdiği için üniversitelerin bünyesinde Uluslararası Ticaret ve Lojistik bölümlerinin sayısı her geçen yıl çoğalmaktadır. Bölüm her yıl bir önceki yıla göre daha fazla öğrenci almakta, buna bağlı olarak da bölüm mezunu kişi sayısı giderek artmaktadır. Öğrenciler bölümü ilk tercih ettiklerinde bölümle veya gelecekteki meslekleriyle ilgili düşük düzeyde bilgi sahibi olabilseler de eğitim süreci içerisinde farklı mesleki beklentilere girebilmektedirler. Bu araştırmanın amacı da, Uluslararası Ticaret ve Lojistik bölümünde okuyan öğrencilerin geleceğe yönelik mesleki beklentilerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu amaç doğrultusunda Tarsus, Harran ve Toros Üniversitesinin Uluslararası Ticaret ve Lojistik bölümü 4. sınıf öğrencileri evren olarak belirlenmiş, amaçlı örnekleme yöntemlerinden kartopu örnekleme yoluyla 14 öğrenci çalışma grubuna dahil edilmiştir. Derinlemesine görüşme yöntemiyle toplanan verilere içerik analizi ve betimsel analiz yöntemleri uygulanmıştır. Bulguların incelenmesiyle, öğrencilerin; bölüme isteyerek geldikleri, birinci sınıftan dördüncü sınıfa kadar bölüme yönelik görüşlerinin olumlu yönde değiştiği, mezun olduktan sonra kariyer ve kişisel gelişim hedeflerini gerçekleştirmek amacıyla özel sektörde çalışmak istedikleri, çalışacakları yerden yüksek maaş ve saha görevinde çalışma beklentilerinin olduğu, kendilerini dil konusunda yetersiz görmelerinin yanı sıra uygulama eksikliği hissettikleri, çalışacakları yerlerde ilk beş yılda kariyer anlamında ilerlemeyi planladıkları ve refah düzeylerini artırmak için yurt dışında çalışmak istedikleri sonuçlarına ulaşılmıştır.
Abstract
The International Trade and Logistics Department has become a department whose value has increased in Turkey in recent years and in parallel with this, universities invest more. The frequency of the department is increasing in universities and the department graduates more each year compared to the previous year. Graduates and even students studying in the department have different expectations about their profession. Professional expectation; It is the individual's making a professional judgment about the future, taking into account his past successes and failures, the education he has received, and current facts. This research was carried out to measure the future professional expectation perceptions of students studying in the International Trade and Logistics department. For this purpose, the 4th grade students of the International Trade and Logistics Department of Tarsus, Harran and Toros Universities were determined as the universe and 14 students, 5 Harran, 5 Tarsus and 4 Toros University students, were included in the sampling by means of snowball sampling, one of the purposeful sampling methods. The data were collected between the dates 26.05.2021 – 05.06.2021 by means of voice calls in the Zoom program. After the data were collected, content analysis and descriptive analysis were made and the findings were obtained. By examining the findings, students; In addition to the fact that they willingly come to the department, their views about the department from the first to the fourth grade are positively affected, they want to work in the private sector in order to achieve their career and personal development goals after graduation, they have high salary and field job expectations from the place where they will work, and they see themselves as inadequate in language. It has been concluded that they feel the lack of work, they plan to progress in terms of career in the first five years in the places where they will work, and they want to work abroad to increase their level of welfare.
