Her ne kadar sinema sanatı tiyatroya nazaran yeni bir anlatı aracı olsa da öykü, karakter, anlatı dili, tema, ışık, dekor, müzik vb. tiyatronun sahip olduğu diğer öğeleri içinde barındırır. Tiyatro sanatından farklı olarak sinema sanatı bu öğeleri kayıt altına alarak tamamlanmış nihai bir film metası haline dönüştürür. Sinema ile tiyatro sanatı özleri itibariyle belirli bir temsil formu yaratsa da film metası haline gelen bir temsil biçimiyle canlı performans halini taşıyan teatral temsil biçimi esas itibariyle birbirinden farklı olgulardır. Bu çalışmada, sinema sanatının toplumsal konumu ve günümüz kapitalist sistemiyle olan ilişkisinden hareketle sinema ile tiyatro arasındaki ilişki incelenecektir. Kalitatif eksenli yapılan incelemeler doğrultusunda sinema ile tiyatro arasındaki ilişki günümüz koşulları ekseninde farklı bağlamlar içinde yeniden değerlendirilecektir. Çalışmanın önemi, konu hakkında disiplinler arası çalışma yapmak isteyen araştırmacılara güncel bir kuramsal art alan sunmanın yanı sıra yapılacak nicel çalışmalara kuramsal katkı sağlamaktır. Abstract

HISTORICAL DEVELOPMENT AND TRANSFORMATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THEATER AND CINEMA ARTS WITH CURRENT TECHNOLOGICAL DEVELOPMENTS ABSTRACT Various theorists and thinkers have studied the relationship between cinema and theatre since 1895, when the cinema emerged. Although the cinema is a newer narrative tool compared to theatre, it includes as a narrative tool such as story, character, narrative language, theme, light, décor, and music contains other elements of the theatre. Unlike theatre, cinema records these elements and transforms them into a film commodity. Although cinema and theatre create a certain representation form in terms of their essence, a representation that has become a movie commodity and a theatrical representation that is a live performance are essentially different phenomena. In this study, the relationship between cinema and theatre was examined based on the social position of the cinema and its relationship with today’s capitalist system. In accordance with the qualitative studies, the relationship between cinema and theatre re-evaluated in different contexts on the today’s conditions. While aiming to present a current theoretical background to researchers who want to conduct interdisciplinary studies on the subject, on the other hand, providing theoretical contribution to the quantitative studies constitute the importance of this study in the literature.
