Özet

Günümüzde Internet’in, Web’in, mobil teknolojilerin ve sosyal ağların yoğun olarak kullanılmasıyla birlikte bilimsel, teknolojik ve toplumsal gelişmeler de hızlanmakta, bunun sonucunda büyük miktarda veri ve bilgi üretilmektedir. Çoğunlukla ağ aracılığıyla keşfedilen, erişilen, düzenlenen ve kullanılan bu bilgilerin etkin bir biçimde yönetilmesi gerekmektedir. Bu amaçla bilgi profesyonellerini eğiten Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Bölümlerinin de bilimsel, teknolojik ve toplumsal gelişmelere paralel olarak zaman zaman eğitim programlarını güncelleştirmeleri kaçınılmaz olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada Hacettepe Üniversitesi Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Bölümünün lisans ders programını güncelleştirme çalışmaları incelenmektedir. Önce Bölüm kısaca tanıtılmakta, daha sonra 2009-2011 yıllarında yapılan çalışmalar bu süreçte geliştirilen Bilgi ve Belge Yönetimi Eğitimi Kavramsal Modeli ile birlikte gözden geçirilmektedir. Çalışmanın sonunda Bölümün Türkçe İktisat ve Bil- giayar Mühendisliği bölümleriyle karşılıklı olarak geliştirilen çift ana dal ve yan dal programları ile ilgili kısa bilgi verilmektedir.

Abstract

Concomitant with the heavy use of the Internet, the Web and social Networks, scientific, technological and social changes speed up nowadays, resulting in the production of massive data and information. Information that is mostly discovered, organized, retrieved and used through the networks needs to be managed effectively. The curricula of the departments of Information Management educating information professionals should mirror such scientific, technological and social developments. In this paper, we review the process of the revision of the undergraduate curriculum of the Department of Information Management of Hacettepe University. First, we introduce the Department briefly, then we review the studies carried out between 2009 and 2011 to update the curriculum along with theconceptualmodel of education for information management developed during this process. Finally, we provide brief information on double major and minor programs that have been developed mutually with the Departments of Economics and Computer Engineering
