The Astragalus and Calcaneus of The Roman People of Gordion in Anatolia

Abstract

Gordion is in a valley through which runs the Ankara-İstanbul railway. It is near the Porsuk river and approximately 113 km. southwest of Ankara. This old settlement known to-day as `Yassıhüyük' was the capital of Phrygia.
