Queer Kuram, Queer Öznellikler: Hamam ve Cahil Periler

Özet

1960’lı yılların özgür ruhu ve bu yıllarda yaşanan muhalif ortam beraberinde heteroseksüellikten farklı düşüncelerin, yönelimlerin (eşcinsellik gibi) ortaya çıkmasına ve zaman içinde de queer kavramının gündeme gelmesine zemin hazırlamıştır. Tüm dünyada tartışılmaya ve etkili olmaya başlayan bu farklı yönelimler hiç şüphesiz düşler diyarı sinemanın da zaman içinde ilgisini çekmiş, cinsel yönelimin normatif algılarının dışına taşan oluş halleri ve queer gibi kavramlar beyaz perdeye yansıtılmaya başlanmıştır. Gus Van Sant, Ang Lee, Jonathan Demme, Xavier Dolan, Mehmet Binay, Kutluğ Ataman vb. yerli/yabancı yönetmeler gibi Ferzan Özpetek de filmlerinde eşcinsellik ve queer unsurları işleyen yönetmenlerden biridir. Bu bağlamda makalenin amacı queeri, queerin gelişim sürecini ve queer kuramı açıklayarak queer öznelliklerin Ferzan Özpetek sinemasında, özellikle Hamam ve Cahil Periler filmlerinde nasıl temsil edildiğini ortaya koymaktır.

Abstract

The free spirit of the 1960s and the opposition atmosphere in these years paved the way for the emergence of different thoughts, orientations (such as homosexuality) and the concept of queer to come to the agenda in time. These different orientations, which have started to be discussed and effective all over the world, have undoubtedly attracted the attention of dreamland cinema over time, and queer concept and states of being that go beyond the normative perceptions of sexual orientation have begun to be reflected on the white screen. Gus Van Sant, Ang Lee, Jonathan Demme, Xavier Dolan, Mehmet Binay, Kutluğ Ataman etc. like local/foreign directors, Ferzan Özpetek is also one of the directors who deal with homosexuality and queer elements in his films. In this context, the aim of the article is to explain how queer subjectivities are represented in Ferzan Özpetek’s cinema, especially in The Turkish Bath and Ignorant Fairies films, by explaining queer, the development process of queer and queer theory
