THE EPIC TRADITION IN FOLKLORE OF TURKIC PEOPLES

Abstract

In this article provides the information on epic traditions in the folklore of the Turkic-speaking peoples. The author traces importance of the presented genre, and notes the common features, the similarity and identity of the epic as the dominant field of folklore of the peoples of the world, including the Turkic.
