POETICS AND STYLE OF VERSIONS OF "ALTAI-BUUCHAY" EPOS

Abstract

The heroic epos "Altai-Buuchay" was common in almost all ethnic groups of the Altai Mountains. For the first time in the Altai language tale "Altai-Buuchay" was published in 1941 in the collection of heroic tales of N. Ulagasheva "Cherchekter". In this study, in addition to variants of N. Ulagasheva author plased emphasis on three different stories, recorded and published by S. Surazakova. We'll discuss another embodiment, re-recorded over 34 years by M.A. Demchinova. Recording was made in 1992. All of these texts were published in a bilingual scientific journal "Altai baatyrlar" ("Altai heroes") in 2013.
