FARKLI BRANŞTAKİ HAKEMLERİN KARAR VERME STİLLERİNİN BAZI DEĞİŞKENLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

EXAMINATION OF DECISION MAKING STYLES OF REFEREES IN DIFFERENT BRANCHES IN TERMS OF SOME VARIABLES

Özet

Günümüzde kitleleri peşinden sürükleyen iki farklı branş olan futbol ve basketbol evrensel bir spor dalı haline gelmiştir. Müsabakaları yöneten hakemin verdiği kararlar bir karşılaşmanın sonucunu direkt etkilediği için futbol ve basketbolda hakem kararları büyük önem arz etmektedir. Çalışmamızda, futbol ve basketbol hakemlerinin karar verme stillerinin branş, yaş ve hakemlik yılı değişkenleri açısından incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklem grubunu; Elazığ’da il hakemi olarak görev yapan 89 futbol ve 51 basketbol hakemi olmak üzere toplam 140 hakem oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada demografik bilgiler ile Karar Verme Stilleri; Mann ve Ark. (1998), tarafından geliştirilen “Melbourne Karar Verme Ölçeği”elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen verilerin normallik testi yapılmış bunun sonucunda normal dağılım gösteren verilerde parametrik testler kullanılmıştır.İkili grupların analizinde Independent Samples t testi, çoklu grupların analizinde ise One Way Anova testi uygulanmıştır. Veriler SPSS 22.0 istatistik paket programı ile değerlendirilmiş ve anlamlılık düzeyi p 0,05) hakemlik yılı ile karar verme stilleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı farklılık olduğu görülmüştür(p<0,05). Sonuç olarak; Futbol ve basketbol hakemlerinin branş ve yaş değişkenine bağlı olarak karar verme stillerinin anlamlı bir farklılaşma göstermediği, daha az tecrübeye sahip hakemlerin, karar verme aşamasında tecrübeli hakemlere göre karar verme sorumluluğundan daha kaçıngan (p<0,02) ve panik davranma (p< 0,03) eğiliminde oldukları görülmüştür.

Abstract

Today, football and basketball, which are two different branches that drag the masses after them, have become a universal sport. The decisions of the referee governing the competitions directly affect the outcome of a match, and the decisions of the referee in football and basketball are of great importance. In this study, it was aimed to examine the decision-making styles of football and basketball referees in terms of branch, age and age. The sample group consists of 140 referees, 89 football and 51 basketball referees serving as provincial referee in Elazıg.In the study, demographics and Decision Making Styles are obtained by "Melbourne Decision Making Scale" which was developed Mann et al. (1998). The obtained data were tested for normality and as a result parametric tests were used for normal distribution data. The Independent Samples t test was used for analysis of the binary groups and the One Way Anova test was used for the analysis of multiple groups. Data were evaluated with SPSS 22.0 statistical package program and the level of significance was taken as p 0.05) . A statistically significant difference has seen between referee year and decision-making styles (p<0.05). As a result, football and basketball referees did not differ significantly in their decision styles depending on the branch and age variables, and less experienced referees tend to avoid the responsibility of decision making compared to experienced referees during the decision making process (p<0.05) and panic behavior (p< 0.05).Key words: football, basketball, referee, decision making
