Özet
Aristoteles’in etik anlayışı, “iyi olma” ve onun getireceği “mutluluk” üzerine kurulmuştur. Çünküyaşamın asıl amacı mutluluk (eudaimonia)’tur. Aristoteles, etiğinde en yüksek iyi’ye ve mutluluğanasıl ulaşılabileceğini sorgular. Fakat söz konusu olan, hem bireysel, hem de toplumsal birmutluluk’tur.Bu çalışmada, Aristoteles’in etik anlayışını, bu anlayışı konumlandırdığı eyleme (praksis)alanına,yaratma (poiesis) alanını da katarak, bireysel ve toplumsal olma özelliğini bünyesinde barındırantragedia ve sonucunda ortaya çıkan katharsis (arınma) konusundaki görüşleriyle birliktedeğerlendirmeye çalışacağız. Amacımız, Aristoteles’in etiğini oluşturan iyi ve mutlu insana ulaşmayolunda, katharsis’in rolünü sorgulamak olacak.
Abstract
Aristotle’s ethical approach is based on being good and the happiness which will be brought by beinggood since the main purpose of life is happiness (eudaimonia). Aristotle questions how to achieve thehighest good and happiness in his ethics. However, the happiness in question is both individual and asocial happiness.In this study, we will try to discuss Aristotle’s ethical approach; adding the field of creation (poiesis) to thefield of action (praxis) where he positions this understanding, together with tragedia that embodies thefeature of being individual and social and catharsis (purification) that emerges in result of this process.Our aim will be to question the role of catharsis on the way to reach the good and happy person thatthe ethics of Aristotle makes up on it.
