Okul Müdürlerinin Paternalist Liderlik Davranışlarının Örgütsel Mutluluğa Etkisi

Özet
Bu araştırmanın amacı paternalist liderlik davranışlarının örgütsel mutluluğa etkisini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Bu amaçla, tarama modellerinden ilişkisel tarama modeli tercih edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucuna göre paternalist liderlik algısının cinsiyete, eğitim düzeyine ve kıdeme göre anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği görülmüştür. Okul türüne göre ilkokul öğretmenleri, lise öğretmenlerine göre okul müdürlerinin daha fazla paternalist liderlik davranışları sergilediğini düşünmektedir. Öğretmenlerin cinsiyetleri ve eğitim düzeyi ile örgütsel mutluluk arasında anlamlı bir farklılık yokken; ilkokul öğretmenlerinin örgütsel mutluluk algılarının ortaokul ve lise öğretmenlerine göre daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Ortaokul öğretmenlerinin lise öğretmenlerine göre örgütsel mutluluk algılarının daha yüksek düzeyde olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Kıdemlerine göre 5 yıl ve daha az çalışan öğretmenlerin, 6-10 yıl çalışan öğretmenlere göre örgütsel mutluluk algılarının daha yüksek düzeyde olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Paternalist liderlik ile örgütsel mutluluk arasında pozitif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki vardır. Ayrıca paternalist liderlik örgütsel mutluluğu %10 oranında yordamaktadır.
Abstract
The aim of this study is to reveal the effect of school principals' perceived paternalistic leadership behaviors onorganizational happiness. For this purpose, relational survey model, one of the survey models, was preferredin the research. While the population of the study was formed by 4235 teachers working in state schools inTuzla district of Istanbul in 2019-2020 academic year; The sample of the study was 449 teachers. The datacollected through the Paternalist Leadership Scale and the Organizational Happiness Scale were analyzed by ttest, anova, correlation and regression analysis. In the study, it was determined that teachers 'perceptions ofschool principals' paternalist leadership behaviors did not differ significantly according to their gender,education level and seniority. Primary school teachers think that school principals exhibit more paternalisticleadership behaviors than high school teachers. While teachers' perceptions of organizational happiness didnot differ significantly according to their gender and education level; It has been observed that theorganizational happiness perceptions of primary school teachers are higher than middle school and high schoolteachers. In addition, it was determined that secondary school teachers' organizational happiness perceptionswere higher than high school teachers. It was concluded that the organizational happiness perceptions ofteachers with 5 years or less seniority were at a higher level than teachers with 6-10 years of seniority. There isa significant positive relationship between school principals' paternalistic leadership behaviors andorganizational happiness. In addition, paternalist leadership behaviors of school principals predictorganizational happiness by 10%.
